Checking Product Authenticity

How to Identify an Original Product
The method for identifying the originality of any product is explained by the manufacturing company in a clear and well-defined manner.

Using irrelevant criteria or unofficial sources— which are typically provided by fraudsters and counterfeit parts sellers—is incorrect and leads to misleading customers.

Most companies—especially HPE—due to their global operations, adjust their production volumes based on the needs of each continent or region.
This is done to facilitate retail distribution and has no relation to product quality.

Reputable companies such as HPE never manufacture their products with different quality levels, as doing so would undermine years of brand reputation and credibility.

Therefore, the insistence of some sellers on promoting servers or components with continent-specific part numbers (Europe, Asia, etc.) may be intended to mislead buyers or to sell overstocked inventory.

Checking a product’s serial number on the manufacturer’s website alone is not sufficient proof of its originality.
Many counterfeiters and sellers of fake products misuse genuine serial numbers on their counterfeit items in order to mislead buyers.

Manufacturing companies provide official methods for verifying the authenticity of servers and components; therefore, using invalid tests or unconventional methods may cause serious damage to the component and yield no reliable results.
